Hot Stone System
preparation, cooking and cleaning
preparation:
Place the hotstone.cooking natural stone on the desired heat source and wait for the recommended heating time. Use the stone lifter provided to remove the hot stone and place it in the hollow of the stainless steel service board. You can then place the hotstone.cooking set on the ergonomically milled wooden frame for stability.
cooking:
Sprinkle the hot natural stone lightly with salt if you want to grill meat or fish. Turn the uncut meat briefly (approx. 3-4 seconds per side) to close the pores and retain important nutrients. Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces and cook them to your taste - whether “English”, “medium” or “well done”.
For vegetables, we recommend blanching them briefly, followed by cutting them into flat slices so that they are perfectly grilled. After the main courses, use the residual heat (up to approx. 200 °C) of the steatite for desserts - the underside of the stone is ideal for this, whereby the surface should be adjusted depending on the preparation (without salt for cheese, with sugar for fruit and crêpes).
cleaning:
Avoid abrupt temperature fluctuations: Do not immerse the hot stone in cold water. Instead, let it soak in a sink with lukewarm water and a few drops of washing-up liquid. Remove any food residue with a cloth and rinse the stone thoroughly with clean water. A dishwashing sponge is sufficient for light encrustations - steel wool or a pot scraper can be used for stubborn residues. Please note that all wooden parts should only be cleaned with a damp cloth, while the INOX stainless steel inlay and sauce bowls are dishwasher-safe.
